What are Varicose Veins?
These veins are abnormally swollen or stretched veins that protrude from the surface of the skin in a rope-like manner, usually on the legs. They are the result of a faulty valve or weak vein walls.

What are Spider Veins?
They are broken capillaries that exist below the surface of the skin on the legs or face. Spider veins are blue, red or purplish in color with a web like or linear appearance.

What causes them to occur?
Vein problems develop when vein valves that prevent blood from flowing backwards malfunction or when a vein wall becomes stressed or weakens. There are a number of factors that cause these veins: pregnancy, birth control pills, obesity, weight malfunction, constipation, prolonged sitting or standing, poor postural habits and aging.

Are they painful?
Besides the fact that they are embarrassing, varicose veins and spider veins can cause various degrees of discomfort such as swelling, throbbing, heaviness, leg cramping, and achiness.

How does the Laser treatment work?                          
The laser treatment is effective  because the blood temperature at the targeted area is elevated to a level that causes coagulation without damage to the epidermis or surrounding tissue.  Because the laser energy is absorbed by melanin in the epidermis as well as the desired of hemoglobin, the epidermal-cooling feature integrated in the hand piece is used to reduce the temperature rise in the epidermis.   

Laser treatment does not hurt, most patients only experience a mild stinging sensation.  You are able to resume normal daily activities minutes after the procedure is done. 

How does the Injection treatment work?
Treating veins by injection is a surgical procedure that has been used for many years, and has proven results.  A few sessions are needed for optimum results. 

For optimum results it's best to combine the two procedures for the quickest results.

What are facial vessels, telangiectasia, and diffused redness?
Telangiectasia or facial vessels are dilated capillaries that commonly appear on the surface of the face and in areas around nose, cheeks and above the neckline.  Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that are present throughout the body.
